Acheivements in Cleveland and Raby Bay 

I am particularly proud of these Council achievements in Cleveland and Raby Bay:

  • Introduced modified rating system that reined in the runaway growth in rates charges
  • Tree planting and removal program
  • Turf works at Masthead Dve Park and Raby Bay Blvd Park
  • Playground Strategy developed
  • Negotiations started for the Toondah Harbour toilet upgrade
  • Master Plans for Cleveland Point, GJ Walter Park and Cleveland Showground developed
  • Cleveland Aquatic Centre upgraded
  • School Safe program for local schools developed
  • Carpark at the Old School House Art Gallery built
  • Donald Simpson Centre improvements
  • Children's playgrounds at Linear Park and William Ross Park shaded
  • Cleveland Meals on Wheels supported
  • Bloomfield St toilet block upgraded
  • Lighting in Bloomfield St, Queen St, Middle St, and around the Donald Simpson Centre improved
  • Redlands United Soccer Club playing field resurfaced
  • Raby Bay Foreshore Park Masterplan developed
  • Graffiti prevention murals at Bloomfield and Princess St installed
